After 2 long weeks, here we go.

lol I feel like I don’t even remember this show anymore. 2 weeks is an awful time to go away for.

Okay so about this whole Mia Appreciation night.

I’m all for it. Honestly I fucking love that crazy bitch. And I am SO HAPPY she is back. But…it’s a little too gimicky. I dunno. At least there’s a promise for good choreo tonight.

But I think I’ll be pissed off because it won’t be the original dancers dancing them. And I’ll know how much better they originally were. Oh god. This might be really bad. I’m gonna be hatin all over the place.

NEWS ALERT: AH OH MY GOD BABY NAPPTABS WAS BORN.

Group Performance: This is creepy as hell. And the song was very familiar but I can’t place it. I’m not sure how I feel about this. haha.

Eliana and Cyrus (S4 door routine): Okay so I pretty much hated Katee except for this routine in s4. BUT CYRUS IS NOT TWITCH. BBY NO. Eliana’s like really overacting this to me for some reason. I’m gonna be hating everything all night. I’m sorry. Cyrus is actually doing this really well but Eliana isn’t pulling through for me and I don’t know because I generally love Eliana. Her technique is perfect as always but something about her acting isn’t doing it for me.

I like these British men. They can stay. I approve. Not Nigel. He’s just creepy. The non-creepy British men can stay.

Tiffany and George (S4 Hometown Glory routine): Oh my god. Like I said. Not a Katee fan. BUT THIS ROUTINE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE ADELE. Every dance set to Adele is perfect. Tiffany just gave me chills oh my god. I’m already crying guys and I don’t know if it’s the music. oh my god. It seems more rushed I think than the original but I’m still crying. goddamnit Tiffany and George KILLED this.

Amelia and Will (S5 Butt routine): This was by far one of the best routines on the show and I am sooooo happy that Amelia and Will got this one. WILL IS THE ACTUAL FACE OF SUNSHINE. HE’S SO CUTE. Amelia has a nice ass. Just saying. SHE LOOKS SMOKIN HOT IN THAT OUTFIT HOLY SHIT. But I think she needs to loosen up a bit. She seemed really tense in the opening. I think Will did this pretty well. He’s no Evan. But I ended up not liking Evan and I will always love Will.

Janelle and Dareian (S4 Bed routine): JANELLE IS A CHELSIE/MARK FAN. THIS IS WHY SHE IS MY FAVORITE. IF YOU WERE WONDERING. ohhhhh my god. the bed routine kills me. fuck john mayer and his stupid songs. Oh Dareian bby boy. Your abs are nice. Okay guys this is the winner. Nothing else has been better than this tonight. This is so perfectly gorgeous and honestly I don’t even remember the old routine this is soo good. DAREIAN PLS. HE IS KILLING THIS. AND JANELLE’S FACE. SCREAMING. I AM SCREAMING.

Audrey and Matthew (S3 Time routine): As much as I love Matthew he will never be on par with Neil Haskell. Neil was a perfect child and this routine had me SOBBING because of him. I don’t think Matthew brought it at all. But I think Audrey is so lovely in this. I’m crying again. This piece is always about emotion more than technicality and that hasn’t changed. I don’t even have critique. I can’t critique because this is just always beautiful.

Whitney and Chehon (S2 Bench Routine): Chehon WILL never be better than Travis Wall. Ever. In his entire existence. I think also part of the reason why this routine was so good was that Heidi had such a problem with doing it because she was a ballroom dancer not a contemporary dancer. Whitney is a ballroom dancer too but she doesn’t have that problem? It also seems too rushed for me. I don’t know why. I don’t think Whitney was heartbroken enough and I can’t place what I didn’t like with Chehon.

Wow Nigel okay let’s just share Mia’s total life story on public television why don’t you. I never knew this story at all even though I’ve seen this dance like 50 million times.

Lindsay and Cole (S5 Addiction Routine): NO THIS WAS MY BABIES’ ROUTINE. I am SO invested in this routine it isn’t even funny and Kayla/Kupono are two of my favorites ever. This. I just. Kayla and Kupono had such a PERFECT partnership and chemistry and that’s why this worked. I didn’t think was going to be as good, but I think this was probably the truest to canon if you will. This was fantastic in its own way. I think Cole was exceptional in this. He is so creepy and vicious in this and the epitome of addiction. HE WAS SO GOOD HOLY SHIT. And Lindsay did very, very good. Not as good as Kayla, but very good.

Amelia- Falling Slowly is the most perfect song and if Amelia goes home I will honestly be so sad. She is one of my favorites.

Janelle-OH SWEETHEART YES. She is such a stunner. I love watching her dance in all honesty. If she goes home I’ll be so sad too.

Lindsay- Hiphipchinchin is the best song ever. I love that song but I don’t love her.

George- I’m not feeling anything from this solo. It’s very bland.

Dareian- Oh honey yes. yes yes yes. Everything about you is perfect. He so sexy and I don’t understand it. THAT IS HOW YOU DO A SOLO LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

Matthew- GODDAMNIT. Matthew. You break my heart. I love him so much. If he goes I will cry. This is such a good solo. It reminds me of Travis’ solos.

OH GOD I FORGOT DANIEL WAS ELIMINATED LAST WEEK. UGH.

Group Performance: lol at Amelia in this. She is perfect for this. I’m digging this a lot. I feel like the whole picture is in black and white except that umbrella and I LOVE photography like that. This is like a beautiful picture. I really like it. Of course Tyce choreographed it. My bby.

George/Tiffany (hiphop): OH MY GOD THE NAPPYTABS BABY WILL BE THE CUTEST THING. CAN WE REFLECT ON THAT FOR A SECOND. This set is adorable. This music is really intense. I’m not used to intense NappyTabs that isn’t to Ne-yo. Idk about the dancing of this. I’m tempted to not like it because it seems too…much. And not enough of something else. I still like them though.

Amber/Brandon (jazz): Brandon is in Step Up Revolution? Oh I see why he made it through now, Fox. God this program makes me sick with its politics. OH GOD BBY AMBER IS FLAWLESS. I am in love with this performance though. I feel like I’m in 1960s Alabama right now. This is gorgeous. Amber is so underrated. She is a gem and I think she can go far in this competition. BABY MAKING CHOREOGRAPHY. YES.

Dareian/Janelle (cha-cha): JANELLE IS MY SPIRIT ANIMAL OH MY GOD.

Lindsay/Cole (contemporary): I love Mandy Moore. I adore this woman. She’s a perfect ball of happy rainbows. I think this is really well danced on both their parts. I sometimes find contemporary routines boring and I think this is slightly boring but it’s very beautiful. And I think Lindsay’s hair is getting in the way of its beauty for me, but it’s very well done for a ballroom dancer.

Also Goddamn Nigel do you have to bring up the emmy noms? Really are we going there? *frustrated noise*

Amelia/Will (jazz): WILL IS THE ACTUAL HUMAN EMBODIMENT OF SUNSHINE. I CAN’T DEAL WITH HIM. I CANNOT. OH shit. Guys. this is good. This really good. Will is sexy as hell in this. And so is Amelia. woowwww. One of the best routines of the night. Calling it and idgaf what the judges say. I am in love with this This is like kind of filthy and good and I like it. I like it a lot. They are probably my favorite couple personality wise. They’re so quirky and lovely and fantastic.

Matthew/Audrey (salsa): Matt and Audrey are like ultimate power couple and I’ve said that last week. Audrey is like the cutest thing ever and Matt is Ryan Gosling. There is nothing better than them. This latin routine is the better of the two tonight. The beginning was a little slow but it picked up when they separated. idk about the chemistry tonight but they can get better. I definitely want them both in the competition for later.

Chehon/Whitney (contemporary): TOOKEYBIRD. MY LOVE. I can’t even with this. I’m getting goosebumps. Like actual goosebumps. This is so pretty and enchanting and I can’t function right now. flaskdfjhasdklf. Like WHAT IS THIS. THIS IS SO PRETTY. Tookey is my favorite. I love that woman. And both of them nailed it tonight and HOLY SHIT I FORGOT WHITNEY WAS BALLROOM. okay I’m done. Best performance tonight. okay.

Dareian-I’ve grown really attached to Dareian. I think he has a lot of potential and I don’t want him to go. His solo is really good and very pretty.

Top 20 Perform, Pt. 2 : A Review of S9E8.

Okay so 16 are surviving tonight’s episode and I don’t like this at all tbh. WHY ARE FOUR PEOPLE GOING HOME. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK FOX. Pardon me, but I don’t think they have ever intentionally sent 4 people home at once, ever, in 9 years.

I just want a results show and not so much going on in 2 hours but alright okay whatever. I’ll deal with it.

Okay, but here’s the thing. Adam Shankman is guest judging and he is one of the most fabulous of human beings so here we go with the actual show:

Group Performance: It’s very creepy and I’m not a Marilyn Manson fan by any means so the music is throwing me off, but it’s just a good level of creepy that I’m very much amused. It’s like we’re all in the deepest level of hell just jammin and Cyrus is the devil. I can dig it. Go NappyTabs.

Lindsay/Cole (hiphop) - lol Lady Gaga. I’m not feeling Lindsay but I really like Cole. Unfortuantely I think this performance is going to fade as the night goes on. It’s good choreo by Christopher Scott but something else will be better than it, no doubt. Cole is sooo adorable, though. Especially as a nerd. haha I love that Adam is telling Lindsay to be more sexy. I love Adam Shankman so much.

Amelia/Will (contemporary) -Amelia is actually gorgeous. She just belongs in a movie or something. And Will is not far behind her. I’m actually more drawn to Will in this performance for some reason and I don’t know why. Will has the actual face of sunshine. LOOK AT HIM. oh my god. I love him. I love both of them and I think they are one of my favorite couples. I knew that Sonya and Amelia would be a good pairing and I wasn’t let down.

Amber/Nick (tango)- YES. TANGO TO ACTUAL GOOD MUSIC. Oh shit. this is fierce. Amber is so much better than Nick right now. Nick isn’t as sexy as he wants to be. But bbygirl is hot. I don’t think the jacket thing is helping Nick either, it’s too long and awk. I love a tango and especially a well danced tango, though, so I enjoyed it nonetheless. Lol and I think Nick is wearing the wrong shade of makeup.

Audrey/Matthew (jazz) - Audrey is so adorbs. And Matthew does look like Ryan Gosling omg tho. And he can be shirtless anytime oh yes he can. Hot damn. I really like this and I don’t normally like jazz. I thought they lucked out with Travis last week, but this week I’m pretty positive that they are like the power couple of this competition soooo yeah. They’re good. Matthew has gained more of my love tonight. @ LMFAO at Shankers yelling at Nigel. More people need to do that.

Janelle/Dareian ( lyrical hiphop)- OH SHIT. DON’T DO THIS TO ME. This song is the cutest thing ever. This is SO CUTE GUYS. I CAN’T. Janelle just looks like a little babydoll and Dareian just like belongs in a motown group. STOP STOP. THE END IS SO CUTE. I don’t even care how this was danced, the routine was so sweet.

Janaya/Brandon (broadway)- lololol at Brandon. He’s really good in this. His character is like 100% spot on and I was really doubting Janaya until that flip thing that she did with her body and that was intense. I dunno about it. It wasn’t anything spectacular, but it was well danced and enjoyable. So I’m happy.

Eliana/Cyrus (jive)- Eliana got this yo. She got this good. Cyrus doesn’t. No Cyrus doesn’t at all. Poor baby. I feel bad for him because this is like 100% out of his element. But like this isn’t good as much as Eliana tried to carry him. I love Tony and Melanie to death, but this was not good. haha.

As a footnote: why is that the way they select routines? uhh okay

Daniel/Alexa (contemporary)- Oh god Daniel, my sweet Aussie, please marry me. This is just beautiful. I can’t think of any other word to describe it other than beautiful because is just like perfect and well danced and fab. like wow. It is technically just wow. But I understand the lack of chemistry the judges are picking up on. I think it’s Alexa’s fault lol. Not really. But Daniel is a god, so it’s obviously not his fault.

George/Tiffany (foxtrot)- Oh god they are going home because honestly who enjoys watching the foxtrot on this show? Few people. Her dress is very nice. and George is looking very dapper. But still. It’s the second kiss of death on this show. It’s just a boring dance. And actually this was REALLY well danced and beautiful. But I know America won’t be interested. I think Tiffany is going home in all honesty.

Chehon/Whitney (bollywood)- Okay remember when I used to hate bollywood routines and then Caitlin and Jason did one their first week and I fell in love with bollywood routines? because I think this is happening again. This is good. Me gusta. I’m in love with this. That is all.

Group Routine: I like that it’s not just men in their desks and their women secretaries. lol. yay for gender equality? But like this didn’t make me feel anything really. It was nice but I don’t really see a plot or anything so it was just kinda meh. Okay Christopher Scott.

Performances:

Chehon/Whitney (samba) - Chehon is adorbs. Oh thank god this is to latin music. I’m tired of Rihanna. It was okay. It was entertaining, but I think that Chehon was trying really hard. Whitney seems slightly annoying to me, but she’s good. But hot tamale train worthy on the first routine? I think we’re getting ahead of ourselves here, Mary.

Tiffany/George (contemporary) - Awh, Sonya didn’t do anything angsty with this. This is just really sweet and pretty and they’re obv both really talented. George has been a favorite of mine since his audition and Tiffany is gorgeous. I enjoyed it and I thought it was danced very well, especially that twirl. Good job to everyone.

Janaya/Brandon (NappyTabs Hiphop) - I’m not digging this. I am digging the song, but let’s be real, nappytabs haven’t been good since like season 5. I liked the beginning but it just seemed to be getting worse as it went on. I liked Janaya’s part, but not Brandon’s so much.

Alexa/Daniel (contemporary) - DANIEL YOU CAN STAY FOREVER. AND YOU CAN BE SHIRTLESS FOREVER. Oh this is the power couple. I looove Daniel and Alexa both. Okay the costume dept. did them a LOT of favors. Her pants are hot. I don’t normally like jazzy contemporary routines but this was fabulous. And not even because Daniel is a god in that suit. Like this is a really cool routine with the scaffolding and everything.

Nick/Amber (Viennese waltz) - This is like angsty waltz. What’s going on Jason? aha. Just make it cute and adorable. Nope. Not feeling this AT ALL. It’s not very pretty and waltzy and I think it’s Amber messing this up. Or her dress. I can’t decide. I don’t think it’s Nick because obviously he’s a ballroom dancer…a 12 year old ballroom dancer. He has SUCH a babyface. He’s a cutie.

Amelia/Will (NappyTabs hiphop) - Oh my god, I am in love with Will so much. He’s like the actual face of sunshine. This routine is already hilarious and fantastic because of the plot and song. NappyTabs are redeeming themselves for the last routine. This is really cute and both of them are killing it, especially Amelia. Amelia is one of my favorites and I think Will is growing on me quite a lot.

Janelle/Dareian (african jazz) - Janelle is so hot. she’s just perfect and beautiful all the time. Dareian is not my favorite, but I like Janelle and she’s just flawlessly sassy in this. It’s like she’s in the club rather than in the jungle and I love it. I don’t have much to say about the routine in general because african jazz is not my thing, but I was entertained.

Eliana/Cyrus (broadway) - Hairspray? oh god. Oh no. The last hairspray number I remember clearly was Donyelle and Benji’s and that was FAB and this didn’t measure up at all. Some things were really good, but overall, I didn’t love it as much as I should’ve. I posted the broadway before. It was really good. But this was very up in your face and and energetic.

My Weekly Love for Travis Wall AKA Audrey/Matthew (contemporary) - THE TITANIC. TRAVIS WALL YOU PERFECT HUMAN BEING OH MY GOD. I HAVE TO TALK IN CAPS WHEN TALKING ABOUT TRAVIS. oh sweet jesus I am dying slowly. This is the most perfect performance of the night. I don’t have words for this right now. But it’s my favorite. Just all of it. Both of them. Everything.

Lindsay/Cole (paso doble) - oh god it’s more dominatrix pasos. I don’t know if I can handle this. Lindsay’s a beast. Actually this is really good. I think Cole is bringing it too. I’m digging it, despite the music being funny. I don’t like that music generally, but it was really very good and VERY well danced. I hate when Nigel claims that it’s the best of something, because he is mostly wrong when he says stuff like that. But, this was good.

Contemporary (dancers 1-4): Ohgod this Jessie J cover is beautiful. And I like that Tyce is doing contemporary choreo again. I’m loving the boys more than the girls, but all danced well. Nigel creeps on the girls, but I like the boys.

Ballroom (dancers 5-7): I’m so impressed with the ballroom girls. They are hot and talented. Not sure about this Jason routine, but I’m sure it’s hard to dance ballroom with two girls and one guy. This routine makes me like Nick a little more, though.

Ballet (dancers 8-10): OH MY GOD STOP. I can’t handle this is so pretty. Watching Ballet is lovely. Daniel and Eliana are breathaking dancers. Oh I loved that. I loved watching that. Absolutely loved it. Good job Desmond and Dwight. And the costume dept. had a field day with them.

Jazz (dancers 11-12 and 13): Oh Sonya good music choices, good music choices. I can’t tell who is who, though. They shouldn’t have pulled their hair back. And they’re not well timed. Actually I’m a bit bored by this routine. Not that I don’t love Sonya, but i’m just not feeling these two together.

Contemporary (dancers 14-17): My little Tookeybird is a goddess. Oh they all are SO in sync it’s beautiful. I really like this little group. They’re very lovely and just very pretty dancers. Everything about this performance was perfect.

Hiphop (dancers 18-20): Ohhh my gosh. Christopher Scott look at you. This is adorable. THIS IS ADORABLE. Everything about this is literally flawless from the concept to the outfits to the dancing and holy god. I love it. You guys don’t understand how much I love this.

Here is the Girls’ routine AKA my Weekly Love for Travis Wall:I feel like we’re in Hercules or something and they’re all muses. But I don’t mind. The problem with group routines is that you can’t really spot individuals. This is gorgeous as a whole, though. See Nigel agrees with me on the Greece thing. It’s like Hercules.

The Boys’ routine:Oh Sonya I love shirtless men. You know me so well. Let them dance shirtless all season. COSTUME DEPT. DON’T COVER UP THEIR ABS ARE YOU STUPID. I like this routine. It’s weird but like perfectly Sonya. Look at my little Australian flower, he’s beautiful.

Top 20 Group Routine AKA my Eternal Love for Mia Michaels: I’m like captivated by this. Completely captivated by this. omg. I have missed this bitch so much. She’s my favorite. I would give up every choreographer on this show for Mia Michaels. Mia, you perfect creature. This top 20 is fantastic.

So one of the reasons that I absolutely abhor Fox programming is that their scheduling literally sucks.

Like I’ve been watching this show for 8 years, please just pick a friggen day and be consistent.

Here we go:

So I totally forgot that Melanie was from Atlanta…I actually kind of forgot that Melanie existed tbh. And I really loved her a lot. So. whoops.

Mary what are those boots. Gurl. Who dressed you this morning?

WHY DO THEY HAVE TO EXPLAIN THIS TECHNICAL AUDITION INFO ALL WE KNOW THIS ALL.

Audrey Case is the cutest thing in the whole world. Listen to her voice. Oh my gosh. LOL FOREVER. She’s really cute. And a good dancer. Though to be honest, all the contemporary auditions tend to look the same after a while. This is really nice. I’m digging it.

The piano is very nice to watch people dance hiphop to. You go Boris. I’m pretty sure this is some type of remix of The River Flows in You by Yiruma. Which is one of my favorite piano songs. This was really beautiful. Very mesmerizing. Good word choice Nigel. The blue hair needs to go, I think. They’ll make him cut it for the show probs.

On a side note, I wanna see The Amazing Spiderman more than I want to breathe. It looks so good.

Joshua…you’re real annoying. OH MY GOD PLEASE DON’T BE THIS SONG. ughh. He’s very…I dunno. I’m not a fan of how fast he’s going to this. It’s like he’s dancing on butter or something and sliding into all his movements. He’s good, but I think I just don’t like the audition.

Andre’s routine makes me think that he’s not actually human. I think be might be a robot. And Cyrus was okay. I liked his roommates’ auditions more. His is just too slow for me and my interest isn’t staying. Okay Nigel, calm down. Just calm yourself. I’m happy that all three of them got through to Vegas though.

George Lawrence the Second. That’s…okay. It’s to the point where many contemporary routines look alike to me. This is one of them. It’s gotta be the music because it’s clear that this kid is talented. His lines are amazing. I love when Debbie Allen compliments people. She honestly is like a perfect human. I love Debbie Allen.

Okay what bugs me about sytycd is that they show like glimpses of people and not full auditions of people. Have I said this before? I don’t remember. But like, if you know who has gone to vegas and has made it far in vegas, don’t like bullshit around. Show me the auditions of people in the top 20.
